REAG/GARP 2.0

The BAMF informs: Extension of the REAG/GARP special regulation for the Republic of Türkiye until 31.03.2025

Dear Sir or Madame,

The federal and state governments have jointly decided to temporarily adjust the funding criteria and amounts for travel to the destination country Turkey. This measure is initially limited to 31.03.2025 with the option of extension and affects applications for the destination country Türkiye with a receipt date from 01.07.2024.

Adjustment of the funding criteria for the Republic of Türkiye since 01.07.2024
Since 01.07.2024, only returnees to Türkiye who have stayed in the Federal Republic for six months or more can receive reintegration support. The date of application is decisive for proof of the length of stay.
To determine the length of stay, the entry stamp on the visa (if available) and, in the case of rejected asylum seekers, the apprehension report, the date of issue of the proof of arrival or initial registration in the Central Register of Foreigners (AZR) apply for the start of the calculation period. The date of application applies for the end of the calculation period.

Persons with a stay of more than six months in Germany:
For persons with a stay of more than six months, the regular REAG/GARP 2.0 funding including GARP assistance (1st start-up assistance) will continue to be granted. These people can continue to apply for StarthilfePlus funding (2nd start-up aid) and EURP benefits.

People with a stay of less than six months in Germany:
Since 01.07.2024, only travel expenses and a travel allowance of EUR 200.00 per person (EUR 100.00 per person under 18 years of age) will be granted for people with a stay of less than six months. StarthilfePlus (2nd start-up aid) and EURP benefits will no longer apply.

Persons with a stay of less than six months in Germany and reasonable suspicion of improper use of support services:
For applications with a stay of less than six months and further evidence of improper use of return assistance, only travel costs and a reduced travel allowance (according to point 2.4.3 in conjunction with point 4.2.2 of the REAG/GARP 2.0 funding programme) of EUR 50.00 per person (EUR 25.00 per person under 18 years of age) will be granted. StarthilfePlus funding and EURP benefits are no longer available.
